Updates!!!

Wow!!...Today was my 5th day of work! Since Monday, there has been a lot a lot of work!! Time passes so fast that I didn't realize it until someone asked "hey u don wanna have lunch ah?"...After lunch, continue to do n do, n six o'clock came! While learning more n more, I get more n more busy!...

actually, I wanted to blog this last Friday but no time. I met my immediate advisor n a lady called Angela--the previous data entry girl, she is a mum with three children..Well, she taught me the things that she needs to do since she is leaving at the end of the month, however, my company actually has another plan for her ahead. Angela was told on thurs tt she will be taking over another temp staff's job, in fact, they r going to get rid of her. On fri, I was told to took over Angela's job n she guide me along the way. Just when it reaches afternoon, Angela went missing for some time, n when I saw her, she was chatting on the phone furiously. I was wondering what happened...then, I saw her came out, tears on her face. I was shocked. The operating manager came to me n whispered in my ears "she has quarrelled with her agent, she might be leaving tml, so if you have anything u dunno ask her by today" what can I say?? Haix..I signal to the opp temp staff called Carol, she gave me a little note tt says "The ppl here very bad, they say performance not good, wanna get rid of her"...I have heard 2 different versions of story, and the only fact is tt Angela is gonna leave. When Angela is back to the desk, she packed her verything, n she said "bye, i'm not working anymore" she ends it wif a sob, which make me wanna cry too. She has been so good, teach me step-by-step..my immediate advisor said she got problem, ie she is slow, she took 2 weeks to learn everything. But, i saw tt she is capable of handling the job! There are far too much things to do as I have expected. there goes my mate..

Carol told me that Angela has some 過節 with the operating manager, "冰凍三尺,非一日之寒"..i feel so sorry for Angela.

Carol taught me many things which i seem to have overlooked for these few years..

1. In the real working society, you are required to learn to have two split personalities, that means, in front of the managers/boss, you better obey what they tell you and try to do your best. If the manager ask you to do sth tt is not within ur job scope, do at the surface to ''show'' the boss that you are obedient.

2. you must not bring tyour emotions to work! here is a story--once upon a time, there is an old man with millions of wealth n everything tt everyone ever wanted, but he is very sick lying on the bed. there is a young man, healthy and full of energy, but he is very very poor. one day, the two men met under some fate, the old man told the young man, if there is sth you can exchange with me, i will give you anything u want from me. The young man immediately said that he wants all his wealth. the old man said "and i want all ur health."..the moral of this story is that, youth n health are the most impt things in life. When you are young, u may fall, you may fail, but you are young, you can stand up and start afresh. Look at an old man in his 60s, if he fails his business, does he ever be able to stand up again?? when his vision went blur, getting less mobile, getting prone to be sick. So, it is impt to treasure our youth to achieve what we want.

3. Our family is forver our ultimate safe habour. Don't work so hard n neglect ur family, it is not worth it. imagine you have been working for ABC company for 10+ 20+ years, one day you got cancer, you cannot go to work, your boss may terminate u n hire another person (well, there are jux too many ppl with the same skills as you!). In the end, the ones who look after you, is not ur company but ur family.
It is beta not to tell ur everything to anyone in ur company unless you found a real good friend there, and that's when you are very very lucky. There are very few of such friends at work now.

Carol taught me the roads around my working area.
She advised me tt the faculty "Arts & Social Science" esp psychology is ramping soon in the future. Also, engineering could be a choice too.

Carol has ended her contract!..i am alone...yest went to have lunch with 3 boss n my immediate advisor!!! OH MY GOD!! i keep telling myself to relax!!! wat a 'stressing' lunch..and that's only a start.

in my work, i learnt to use excel. i learnt to read datas. i experienced what is called headache when the datas don't telly. everyday i learn new functions. Basically my job is to do all the time-consuming jobs so tt my immediate advisor can focus on doing the macro part to run the company more efficiently.i m quite happy when my immediate advisor said tt i learn quite fast. haha...but sometimes i will forget one or two steps also... =P

wed has come, fri is nearer...tired, eye pain...good night^^
